Service Changes from 8th September 2008

A number of changes come into effect from this date. See full timetables above for full details. Changes in summary are:

41 - Mostly minor timing changes to Monday - Friday services. Major revamp of Saturday services. Some morning journeys renumbered 41A and routed direct from Clayton/Earl's Drive to the Hospitals, avoiding Newcastle. This is as a replacement to service 58A. Some journeys now serve Ferndown Drive.

58A - No longer operated under contract to Stoke-on-Trent City Council. See service 41A for an alternative.

842 & 432 - No longer operated under contract to Staffordshire County Council.

Market Drayton Services (64/64A/N64/X6) - Some morning journeys now operated under contract to Staffordshire County Council. Morning express X64 journey between Market Drayton & Newcastle, operating direct via A53 and not serving Ashley or Maer/Slaters. Evening express X64 journey between Market Drayton & Newcastle/Hanley operating direct via A53 and not serving Ashley or Maer/Slaters. Additional NightBus N64 departures. Revised route on service 64A, with the Dalelands and Rowan Road areas now only being served on request.

NightBus - Service N1 and N2 are combined and extended to Clayton and Newcastle in new route N1. N3 is withdrawn completely. N4 is withdrawn and largely replaced by service N18 which also serves Newcastle, Basford, Endon and Leek. New N10 service serving Hanley, Stoke, Newcastle, Stone and Stafford.

10 - New Friday & Saturday evening service between Hanley, Stoke, Newcastle, Stone & Stafford to provide evening trips for corresponding NightBus service N10.

18 - New Friday & Saturday evening service between Leek, Endon, Baddeley Green, Sneyd Green, Hanley, Basford & Newcastle, providing evening trips for corresponding NightBus service N18.

New Services 842, 432 - 12th May 2008

RML Travel are pleased to announce that we will now be providing the Monday to Saturday evening service on Stafford area routes 842 (Stafford - Hixon) and 432 (Stafford - Eccleshall - Woodseaves - Stafford), under contract to Staffordshire County Council. A basic timetable is available here. A more detailed version, including fares information, will be available shortly.

Fares Revision - 1st Apr 2008

From the above date there will be revised fares on all RML Travel services.

Unfortunately, due to ever increasing fuel costs, and a decrease in the amount that we are paid for concessionary travel, most single and return fares will rise by approximately 10p. Adult day tickets rise from £2 to £2.50 and some weekly and ten-journey tickets have also increased. There is no change to Smart or NightBus fares.

From this date we also introduce a Student single fare of just £1, valid on any of our routes within the Potteries area, upon production of a valid NUS/College/University ID card.

Service Changes - 1st Feb 2008

Night Bus Network - From the above date, a new Night Bus network will be launched in Stoke-on-Trent in a partnership between RML Travel, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire Police. More info...

64 Hanley - Market Drayton - From the same date we will be delivering a number of improvements to this service, including an extension to serve more of the Market Drayton area and an extra late night departure from Hanley as part of our Night Bus network. Additionally, most journey's on this route will now be operated by a vehicle with coach style seating for your comfort. More info...
